I am a qualified and enthusiastic psychotherapist who believes that helping people is both a responsibility and a calling. In answering this call, I value the importance of helping individuals discover their inner strengths and resources as a path to well-being.
I view the encounter between the therapist and the individual as an opportunity to give voice to unexpressed emotions or ongoing concerns.
I believe that to care for one another, requires that we care for self. I consider each individual to be the author of his or her life, a human document that is in the process of being written.
I am qualified to include each individual's spiritual beliefs and do so upon request, or in the event that spirituality may serve as a resource.
In my experience, I have had the privilege to work with a diverse multicultural population from all walks of life. My philosophy and practice are inclusive.
All are welcome.
In addition to the services that I offer in my practice, I previously provided counselling services to students at Carleton University, through Health and Counselling Services and I was also involved in ongoing research at Saint Paul University.
